Wow. I got told about this by a colleague, it was totally inappropriate but I am really pleased they did! Basically it's a cartoon about a talking ass with a gun who solves crimes. Yep. I love it. The animation is cool too. Check out more stuff at adutswim.co.uk.

John Nolan, animatronics designer and director at Streetlight Films UK, whose credits include Where the Wild Things Are, Harry Potter, Clash Of The Titans, Hellboy 2, Warhorse, Brothers Grimm, Dr Who and Being Human, created an incredible UNKLE robot based on Futura’s Pointmen from the Psyence Ficton and Never Never Land albums. Its splintered synths and a shuddering bass-line create an aggression and energy which Nolan harnessed within the robot’s marching stomp towards the camera.

The idea is pretty gimmicky and a bit of a flash in a pan, but aesthetically, I was quite impressed by the concept of it! Taking it away from the hype of Tron and you could see some very cool skate installs being done around the world. It works by equipping the skaters with ipods and programming them with a custom-built app to measure their air time and trigger graphics whilst in the air and on landing.[VIA]
